Color
Let’s not let marsala hog all of the attention! There are several colors that you will see everywhere this wedding season! Soft pastels like blush and pale blue are taking over the wedding scene this year. With metallic touches in gold, silver and bronze you can add a hint of sophistication and glamour!
Food and Drink
Food trucks are here to stay! Whether your guests enjoy some munchies during cocktail hour or are offered a midnight snack, food trucks offer an entertaining variety of options. Locally grown produce and meats are another huge trend sticking around. Family style dinner service is yet another. Offering comfort foods as passed hors d’oeuvres is both a way to ensure an intimate evening and get your guests talking and interacting with one another! As for beverages, craft beers, signature drinks using champagne and fruit purees and the quintessential moscow mule will dominate weddings in 2015.Flowers
Big blooms are in this year. 2015 brides will not skimp on the lush (i.e. expensive) flowers, for everything from centerpieces and bouquets to aisle decorations. Ranunculus, hydrangea, peonies and dahlias will be among the most popular flowers for every season. They are not only adaptable to every color scheme and ambiance, these flowers have the ability to transform your venue. Greenery is also huge this year! Herbs, ivy and ferns are being used in unique ways, giving ordinary florals a run for the spotlight.

Cake
Candy buffets, dessert tables and pies will no longer be the focus. Instead classic tiered wedding cakes will make a comeback at wedding receptions. Textured buttercream and fondant will remain on trend to decorate the cake. However, gone are the days of standard chocolate and vanilla cake. 2015 couples will opt for unique and creative flavors for a twist on tradition. Chai Latte anyone?
Dresses
Blush wedding dresses will continue to show up this wedding season, with light blue and soft metallics in the running as well. Lace, cutouts, off the shoulder and Bohemian style gowns swept the runways this fashion season and will transition into the wedding gown trend for 2015.
I am excited to see what this wedding season has in store for NoLo! In year’s past, we have had some very fashion forward and trend savvy brides. I may even warm up to a light blue dress...maybe…
